One of my most recent autograph acquisitions is of Minnesota Wild goaltender Josh Harding from 2009-10 Upper Deck Trilogy. Harding was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in September of 2011, but chose to continue his career, despite dealing with the initial effect of his illness, and was awarded the 2013 Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy for being the player "who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication to ice hockey."
Considering how inspirational Harding's story is, especially considering how he has gone from long-time back-up, to starter, to Vezina contender, I was looking for an autograph of his. I found this one, for just $1+shipping BIN. I think the price was low because no one else was interested. I think no one else was interested, because the seller spelled his name "Josh Hardy." Sometimes, I guess, spelling mistakes on Ebay can result in some pretty great deals.
Nice card. Unfortuntely, Harding has been bouncing off and on the DL due to trying to stabilize his dosage of meds for his MS. Darcy Keumper from the Wild has been getting quite a bit of playing time in his stead.
