Well, THESE Cards are Now Outdated: 2014 NHL Trade Deadline Edition

Now that the NHL trade deadline has come and gone, here's a look at some of my newly-outdated cards which now feature players in their former uniforms. Yes, I know, a few of these were already outdated, as a few of them changed teams already since the particular cards were released, but stay with me here, people.

Ryan Miller: Traded from Buffalo to St. Louis with Steve Ott for Jaroslav Halak, Chris Stewart, William Carrier, a 2015 1st round draft pick, and a 2016  3rd round draft pick.

Martin St. Louis: Traded from Tampa Bay to New York Rangers for Ryan Callahan, 2014 conditional 2nd round draft pick, & 2015 1st round draft pick

Roberto Luongo: Traded from Vancoucer to Florida with Steve Anthony for Jacob Markstrom & Shawn Matthias

Tim Thomas: Traded from Florida to Dallas for Dan Ellis

Viktor Fasth: Traded from Anaheim to Edmonton for a 2014 5th round draft pick & a 2015 3rd round draft pick

Marian Gaborik: Traded from Columbus to Los Angeles for Matt Frattin,a conditional 2nd round draft pick, and a conditional 3rd round draft pick

Michal Neuvirth: Traded from Washington to Buffalo with Rostislav Klesa for Jaroslav Halak and a 2015 3rd round draft pick

Raphael Diaz: Traded from Vancouver to New York Rangers for a 2015 5th round draft pick

Of course, there was also Matt Moulson going to Minnesota, Thomas Vanek going to Montreal, and David Legwand going to Detroit, but I don't have any hits of those players, so they just get this postscript at the end.

  1. Man... I was kinda bummed to hear Miller get traded. I've been collecting him since the 2010 Winter Olympics and he just won't look the same wearing a Blues jersey... although he's surrounded by a much better roster.
