Big Replacement Request Given to Panini

After months and months of waiting, I decided to clear out my older redemption requests with Panini. There were a few that were just over the four-month mandatory waiting period, but a couple of them were close to a year old, and I just decided it was time to move on without those cards. I made requests for all eligible redemptions, of which there were six:

2011-12 Dominion Joe Vitale/Rick Tocchet Pen Pals Dual Auto /50 (Hockey)
2011-12 Dominion Simon Despres/Erik Gubranson Pen Pals Dual Auto /50 (Hockey)
2012 Limited Bernard Pierce Phenoms Patch Auto /299 (Football)
2012-13 Limited New Jersey Devils Limited Rookie XRC /499 (Hockey)
2012 Crown Royale DeVier Posey Rookie Silhouette Siver /149 (Football)
2012 Totally Certified DeVier Posey Certified Future Signature Materials /175 (Football)

There were some decent ones there, and I was really hoping to get those first three, but I have been waiting 11 months for the Vitale/Tocchet, 10 months for the Despres/Gudbranson, and 8 months for the Pierce. I pulled the Pierce from a pack, but I paid money for those two Dominion cards, adn for almost a year, I've had nothing to show for it, so I just figured it was time to move on. The only one I'm not sure of is the XRC rookie redemption from Limited hockey. Since they are waiting for the cards to be produced, and not for an athlete to return an auto, they may not replace that one, which is perfectly fine, if that's the case.

As usual, I made the request over the phone, as it is helpful to actually talk to a person. I asked for cards of players from the Pittsburgh Penguins, and if not that, at least for them, all to be replaced with hockey cards. So far, I have not been denied a Penguins card when requesting one, but with the large number of cards requested, that may be difficult to do. The CSR I spoke to said it may take 3-4 weeks for this request to be fully processed, due to the large number of requests they have received, but it's not like I haven't had to wait already, so that's not a problem.

Either way, I'm really eager to see what they do with these. I'll certainly let you all know as soon as I receive the cards in the mail.

  1. Good luck with Replacement Roulette, I don't have the guts to ask for my Harper Chrome Black auto replacement, unless they can guarantee a trout or harper auto in return
