With a little bit of Paypal unds left a couple of weeks ago, I decided to take a gamble on a box break of 2012-13 Panini Prime. Now, with this one, I decided to go a different route than I normally do.
Usually, it's Penguins all the way, and on a case break, it still would be, but in this case, I didn't want to take a chance. Due to the 2012-13 products featuring ZERO Penguins rookies, I knew that there was a much slimmer chance of pulling one out of such a small sample group. Instead, I decided, for a MUCH cheaper price, to pick up the other team I collect, my home-state Minnesota Wild.
$14 won me the Wild slot in the break, and I discovered it was money well spent, when the breaker pulled this card, a Kris Foucault Black Parallel, numbered 3/3, featuring a laundry tag, two patches, and a fight strap.
The cool thing here, is that I ended up with two patches, as I think, the bottom left piece was supposed to be a Prime Jersey. Either way, this is a REALLY nice looking card, which just goes to show how much luck I have had at pulling cards of the Minnesota Wild from Prime, after my first back gave me a Foucault base quad jersey/auto, a Foucault Dominion patch/auto, and a Chay Genoway Prime Ties 1/1 Redemption. I'm not sure how well this guy will end up doing in the NHL, but either way, this is a great looking card that I am happy to add to my collection.
I don't collect hockey, but if I ever decide to start, I'm pretty sure that I'm going to have you break for me. You have amazing luck!!!
