Trade With Fuji

Sometimes trades begin with a purpose, but other times, it comes from just a casual mention left in conversation. After posting about a great deal I made in the purchase of a bunch of 2012 Goodwin Champions relics, Fuji from The Chronicles of Fuji blog casually mentioned how he was looking for a relic of soccer player Brian Ching from the same set. As luck would have it, the Ching relic was one of the four hits I pulled from the Goodwin Champions box that I busted in August. I offered to just simply send it to him, since I had no use for it, but he insisted on sending me something in return.

For just one card, here's what I got in return:

2002-03 MVP Ville Nieminen jersey

2002 Bowman Draft Picks & Prospects Tony Alvarez Jersey booklet card

2002 Bowman's Best Edwin Yan bat

2008 Upper Deck Masterpieces Rashard Mendenhall jersey

2010 Rookies & Stars Jonathan Dwyer jersey 26/249

2008 Upper Deck Icons Limas Sweed jersey

I was pleasantly surprised with just the sheer number of cards sent to me in return for something that meant so little to me. It just goes to show that in card collecting, one man's trash is another man's treasure.

Thanks for a great trade!

  1. Glad the cards arrived safely... thanks again for the trade. Normally, I'd write up a blog trade post. But the Ching is going to be a Christmas present for a friend and unfortunately, she reads my blog from time to time.

Anyways... I'm glad these cards will fit nicely into your Pittsburgh collection.
