The purpose of this blog is two-fold: 1, to meet my fellow collectors and trade a few cards, and 2, to brag about all of the amazing hardware I've been able to get my greedy little hands on.
Just tipping us over the halfway point, let's dig into Series 2. The specs are the same as Series 1, except for a few tweaks. For one, there are no league leader cards in this set, making it easier to disperse the cards, but also, there are more insert sets, meaning that we'll get five cards of more inserts, instead of ten of each, if that makes sense. Anyway, we DID get all three hits out of this box, plus a short-printed variation for one of the teams. So let's get things going!

Here we are with our first Jumbo Box of Topps. First of all, I need to make a correction to an earlier claim. With the full set being pulled from packs of each jumbo boxes, I made the claim that each team would get a full team set from the Series 1 and Series 2 boxes. Unfortunately, I forgot to take into account the amount of multi-player league leaders cards. I still have not sorted through these cards completely, but there is a good chance that there will not be enough duplicates of these cards to send one to each team represented. I do apologize for that error on my part, but if I run into any problems with this, I will go through the duplicates that I already have in my own collection and do my best to fill in any gaps.
As far as the Golden Giveaway cards go, I will disperse them one to each team claimed.

A great box of Archives. The inserts were pretty cool with some big names, but I'd say we did pretty well on the hits. The bonus relic of Torii Hunter was nice, but we got a couple of great autos in Cecil Fielder and Bake McBride.
Thank you to everyone who signed up for the group break, and a big thank you to Atlanta Sports Cards for giving me a good deal on the boxes. Despite not selling all thirty teams, I will be including box #6, which is an additional box of Gypsy Queen. I felt that since I purchased them from ASC under the assumption that they would be used for the break, it would be dishonest of me not to utilize it for that purpose. But that won't matter until the end, when I open them. For now, here's box #1, 2012 Topps Heritage.
I was hoping to have something posted last night for the break, but it took 3 and a half hours to upload my 25-minute Heritage video to Youtube, only for me to wake up this morning to find out that the video is too long. So now, I'm working with Windows Movie Maker to split the video into two parts, which will fall into Youtube's time frame. Sorry for the delays. Hey everyone. I just wanted to let you all know that I was happy to get home from work to see a big brown box from Atlanta Sports Cards waiting for me. I will try my best to get these opened as soon as possible. The idea will be for me to open and record all five of them tonight, and then post one of them every night for the next five evenings.
I still need payment from a couple of you. Even though the boxes will be opened, nothing will be posted until everybody's squared away, so get those payments in.

Just a real quick post here. I recently participated in a group break hosted by Sam of The Daily Dimwit. He was busting one box each of 2009 Topps Unique, 2007 SP Legendary Cuts and 2008 Topps Co-Signers. I bought into the break for both the Cubs and Rangers, and was given the two bonus teams of Colorado and San Diego. luckily for me, someone was willing to trade the Milwaukee Brewers for the Padres, because look what I got!!!
A Yovani Gallardo bat knob auto 1/1!!! This is a fantastic card in person, and EASILY the best card I ever got out of a group break. This actually was a pretty good box in general, with two other good hits pulled. I might have to pick one up for my next break.
In addition to the group break loot, I also received my end of a trade from Sam, a 2012 Gyosy Queen Starlin Castro auto and a Ryne Sandberg blue parallel /199 from 2012 Topps Tribute.
Speaking of group break, I have quite a few slots remaining in mine, which has a box each of 2012 Gypsy Queen, Archives, Heritage, Series 1 Jumbo, and Series 2 Jumbo. I have dropped the price of each slot down to $15, and I am guaranteeing a hit for every team, even if I have to pull one from my own collection. Go here for more info.
Hey everyone. After getting feedback from many of you, I have decided to keep the break as it is, and try my hardest to get the other slots filled. The main reason I did not want to split it up, is simply, that you all claimed your teams and paid your money while under the impression that you would get five (or six) boxes of cards from your team. It would be unfair to, for example, take three boxes worth of Yankees cards, and in return, give you three boxes worth of Padres cards (no offense, Padres fans).
I am now up to 16 teams claimed/sold. I need 24. If 24 teams total are claimed, I will be able to cover the price of the boxes and come pretty close to covering most of the sipping charges, but I may have to eat some of that.
In order to entice people to either join the break or pick up extra slots, I have decided to reduce the price of the remaining teams down to $15. For those of you who are not aware of the break, I am planning on opening one hobby box each 2012 Topps Gypsy Queen, Archives, Heritage, Series 1 Jumbo, and Series 2 Jumbo. I am also throwing in a hit from my own collection to EVERY team that does not have one pulled from these boxes. More details can be found here. I will keep the one-team-five-box format as it was originally intended to be. I will also add the bonus box of Gypsy Queen if I can sell all 30 teams. I would like to bust it open regardless, but if I am unable to at least break even, I might just have to save it for my next break.
