Group Break Sign Ups: Four Hockey Products (12 Hits!)

(EDIT: Due to lack of interest, this break will be cancelled. Thank you to everyone for checking in, and I will put another one together soon, as soon as I can guage interest on the best possible break to pursue. Thanks!)

Hey everyone. I wanted to officially announce details for my next group break. I am planning on opening four hockey products, which should yield us all a ton of great cards. Here's the rundown:

1. 2011-2012 Panini Titanium

This is a high-hit, low base card product, featuring five packs of four cards, with each pack containing a relic or autographed card. Many of the hits have prime swatches or patches, and there are quite a few multi-player cards.

This is a GREAT looking product, which I've already opened two boxes of (here's the link.)

2. 2010-2011 ITG Between the Pipes

This all-goalie product contains four hits, two of which are relics and two of which are autographs. There are 18 packs of 9 cards. The set features a good mix of current players, former players, and prospects. Any prospects who do not have an NHL affiliation on their card will be randomed among the participants, even if they currently have an NHL affiliation. It is simply too difficult to research all of the junior-leaguers in the set to see where they are.

Any hits of prospects with no NHL team on the card will be randomed among participants who do not receive a hit in this or any other product in this break.

3. 2010-2011 Donruss

One box will contain 24 packs of 5 cards. Of those cards, there will be two autographs or relics, one Press Proof parallel, and six Rated Rookies inserts.

One note here: There are case hits featuring "Fans of the Game" autographs of celebrities, including Pamela Anderson. If we get one of these rarities, it will be randomed among ALL participants, even those who received a hit for their team. I just think they are too valuable and it would be unfair to someone to miss out on, just because they pulled a white jersey swatch of a backup goaltender.

4. 2010-2011 Panini All-Goalies

This is a 100-cards set from Panini featuring goaltenders. The box contains one full set, five parallels, and one relic card.

Here are the details:

In order to make this work, I will need 10 teams claimed. Since there are 30 teams in the NHL, the remaining teams will be randomed off among the ten participants, giving each slot a total of THREE Teams. Each slot is $25 and will allow you to pick one team yourself. Payment can be made as a gift to matt-pederson(AT)hotmail(DOT)com. Please make the payment ASAP.

For the un-picked teams, I will disperse them this way. First, I will list the remaining teams alphabetically by city. Then, I will use random.org to randomize the names of the participants and use that order to assign the teams down the list. For example, after randomization, the person's name who comes up first would get Anaheim, second gets Atlanta, etc. as long as those teams were not picked originally.

And if anyone does not receive a hit (12 should be pulled in total) out of the boxes, I will throw in one from my own collection, to make sure that everybody leaves with something.

The only thing I ask in return, is that the participants who have a blog please plug this break. I am trying to keep the price down, but in order to do that, I NEED to fill my ten slots. I'm not requiring it, but the more word we can get out, the quicker we can get it going.

If there are any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
