Picked Up a Couple of Hits from 2012-13 Artifacts (Sidney Crosby Patch!)

After picking up a couple boxes of 2012-13 Upper Deck Artifacts (Box 1 & Box 2) I decided to grab up a couple of cool hits to add to my various collections, as well as some good old fashioned trade bait.

The main card, obviously, is a Sidney Crosby jersey/patch card numbered 18/75. Upper Deck this year has been notorious for inserting the dreaded one-colored patch in this product, like the Doug Wilson I pulled from Box 2, but luckily for me, the Crosby met a much better fate. The patch piece comes from the crest of the jersey, and is most likely from the glove of the penguin's right hand. It's only two colors, but with the detail of the swatch, two colors is really all you need.

I also wanted to add a Mike Modano to my player collection, which I was able to with this emerald parallel, numbered to 99. I pulled a sapphire /85 from Box 2, so this one goes right along with it.

The third and final keeper is a dual jersey cards of Penguins defenseman Kris Letang and former Penguin center Jordan Staal. I don't know if it has to do with him leaving Pittsburgh, but Staal's stuff is popping up all over Ebay. Still, I won't turn away a good deal, and I am becoming a big Letang fan as well, so it's a win/win for me.

I've written about it before, but for some reason, I keep getting drawn in to players from the Colorado Avalanche, despite not caring one bit for the team itself. I'm already going after cards of Gabriel Landeskog, Matt Duchene, and Paul Stastny. I'm undecided on Ryan O'Reilly, but I figured I'd pick up this autographed card of his, just in case.

I got this Dustin Brown auto, apparently forgetting that I already got a much cooler one of his from Panini Prime. If anyone is interested in this one, it is up for trade, so just let me know.

I picked up this Johan Motin auto simply because it was $1. Seriously. No other reason. Somebody trade me for it.

With this one, the Crosby was obviously what drew me in, but it's always nice to pick up a few extras to go along with it. As I said, the Brown and Motin are for trade, so if anyone is interested in those, or any other cards in my trade bait, let me know and we'll see what we can work out.
