Yet Again, More Rookie Patch Autos from 2011-12 Dominion

Yeah, yeah, yeah. More of these rookies from Dominion.

So what? They're GREAT looking cards, and the whole point of this blog is to brag and boast all about the cool stuff I add to me ever-expanding collection.

Sp, deal with THAT.

Anyway, here we go.

156 - Craig Smith 24/199

Smith was selected in the fourth round (98th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. Of the non-Penguin rookies I have gotten so far, Smith has actually been the most productive. He was a full-time Predator for the 2011-12 season, playing in 72 games and tallying a total of 36 points (14 goals, 22 assists). He was the first Predators rookie since Colin Wilson (2009-10 season) to jump directly to the pro club before first playing for the team's AHL affiliate, the Washington Admirals.

(The odd thing about this swatch, is that it appears to be a screen-printed patch. The right-side yellow is the base fabric, but the three colors to the right of it are all printed on one piece of material. Maybe they gave him a "Premier" (aka replica) jersey, which all feature an embroidered crest on the front, but all names and numbers are screen-printed onto one piece of fabric and then sewn on. It is, after all, just "event worn.")

139 - Cam Atkinson 154/199

Atkinson was a late-round pick (6th round, 157th overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. He spent most of the 2011-12 season with the AHL's Springfield Falcons, but did get some good NHL time, scoring 7 goals and 7 assists in 27 games

That's all for now, but I'm sure there will be more on the way real soon.
