Big Redemption Replacement Win From Upper Deck

After pulling a redemption from an autographed base card parallel of Jonathan Quick from a mini box from 2012-13 Fleer Retro, I decided to enter the code and play the waiting game. I like Quick as a player, and was excited with the chance at getting an autograph of his, but after two months of waiting, I lost my patience and decided to request a replacement, figuring it would be easier to just buy a Quick auto off of Ebay.

In requesting a replacement, Upper Deck also asks for your favorite team and up to five favorite players. I gave them Sidney Crosby, Mario Lemieux, and Evgeni Malkin from the Penguins, and a couple of guys I am a big fan of from another team, Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane of the Chigago Blackhawks.

Anyway, I got my replacement in the mail today, and what Upper Deck sent in as an "equal value" replacement for my Quick auto, a dual autographed card of Jonathan Toews and San Jose Sharks center Joe Thornton from 2009-10 SP Authentic, numbered 14/100.

I must say, I was really happy to see this card as my replacement. The Quick auto was, obviously, just of him, and the Fleer Retro autos are all stickers. This card on the other hand features not one, but two, players that I am a fan of, and both autographs are on-card, which makes it extra cool. This marks my second Thornton auto, but my first of Toews. Not only is he an alumnus of the University of North Dakota, but in his young career has already captained the Chicago Blackhawks to two Stanley Cup Championships.

Having never done a replacement with Upper Deck before, I wasn't sure which way this would go, but I must say, this was a VERY successful experience.
