About nine months ago, I went on a bit of a bit of a spending spree on Panini Luxury Suite hockey cards. Most of them have been traded or sold in the time since, but one that was still in my possession was an unfulfilled redemption for a Jean Ratelle auto. Well, nine months went by and I opted for a replacement. Eager in anticipation of who would be an "equivalent" for a hall-of-famer and one of the greatest New York Rangers in team history, I was a little underwhelmed when I opened up the package to find this:
Nothing against Graham, but I don't think he quite matches up. I guess that's the risk you take when going for the replacement option. Still, I would MUCH rather them replace it with a fellow retired player from the Luxury Suite set than some scrub rookie from Certified.
After this, though, I'll wait out as long as I have to for my
Troy Aikman auto/relic. Not taking any chances on that one.
