Panini Prime Case Break - Sidney Crosby Auto /5!!!!!

After weighing the options of entering a case break of Panini Prime or just buying a Sidney Crosby auto from the set, I decided on both options. I knew that I definitely wanted an auto of his from Prime, and buying the redemption guaranteed that, but I also wanted the chance at some other cool items. From Prime Ties to Showcase Swatches, there were too many mega-cool cards to pass up the chance on, so I decided to indulge myself.

The risk with group breaks, is that sometimes, things don't work out. The risk with claiming the Penguins in a group break, is that sometimes you pay A LOT of money and things don't work out.

Luckily, this was not one of those times.

I was nervous, I must say, when I went through almost the entire break with nothing more than base cards of Mario Lemieux and Kris Letang. Literally, the VERY LAST CARD gave me a redemption for this card:

That's right. An on-card autograph of Sidney Crosby numbered to JUST FIVE!!!

People who enter case breaks do so for cards like this, and rarely does it turn out quite this good. Unfortunately, despite being out for a good part of last season, and having the entire summer, Sid still hasn't returned his autographs to Panini. Still, as can be surmised by the "Description Details" that I entered, I'm willing to ride this one out. It will be one I will have to wait for, but as soon as I get it in hand, it will be WELL worth the wait.
