Another addition to the Zach Parise collection is this one from 2011-12 SP Authentic's Limited Patch insert set.
The card is serial numbered to a rare 9/25, and features what appears to be a piece of the Devils logo from the front of the jersey. Even though I mostly collect Parise for his ongoing time with the Minnesota Wild, I am always happy to add a card from early in his career with New Jersey.
The purpose of this blog is two-fold: 1, to meet my fellow collectors and trade a few cards, and 2, to brag about all of the amazing hardware I've been able to get my greedy little hands on.

Even More Zach Parise Additions
Here's a real quick look at a few more additions to my Zach Parise collection. I like to do individual posts on some of the bigger ones, but there is just too many at this point to do a post for every single card. Anyway, here's what I got.
2013-14 Contenders Quad Auto 20/20 (Parise, Dany Heatley, Mikael Granlund, Darcy Kuemper)
2014-15 Ultimate Ultimate Collection Patch 27/35
2015-16 Artifacts Dual Patch 3/8
2012-13 Prizm Auto
2013-14 Score Team 8s( Parise, Cal Clutterbuck, Charlie Coyle, Mikael Granlund, Dany Heatly, Torrey Mitchell, Ryan Suter, Niklas Backstrom)
2013-14 Luxury Suite Stick 127/199
2013-14 Artifacts Treasured Swatches Dual Jersey
That's it for now, but I'm sure I'll have plenty more new ones to show off real soon.

Zach Parise Diamond Relic 1/1 from 2015-16 Black Diamond
Apart from the Prime Skates card of Zach Parise that I already have in my collection, this is the first MEGA purchase since starting my Zach Parise collection. From 2015-16 Black Diamond, I have a Pure Black Diamond 1/1 card that didn't cost me nearly as much as I thought it might, especially considering it comes from a new release.
Of course, like all Black Diamond cards, this one is no different, in that it really doesn't scan well. The player image on the front is in black and white, and the foiling is done in a way that the image becomes clearer when more light shines on it. The 1/1 serial numbering is front and center on the card, but done in a way that doesn't really distract from the overall design. The diamond itself is given the proper treatment, with enough space and framing around it to really make it stand out.
If you read the fine print of the fine print on the back of the card, it reveals that the "diamonds are lab created." While some people may be somewhat let down by this fact, it really doesn't bother me. It's still something valuable, it's still a one-of-a-kind card, and honestly, the cost would be WAY too high for the product as a whole if they used the same stuff the use in your wife's wedding ring.
It's not very often where you get the chance to add such an epic card to your player collection, but when opportunity and available funds come together at the right time, it was just meant to be.

2014-15 The Cup Zach Parise Signature Renditions
I managed to pick up a pretty amazing card, at an even more amazing price, when I scooped up this Zach Parise Signature Renditions card from 2014-15 The Cup for just 10 bucks + shipping.
Unlike most cards from The Cup, there is no serial number, but what it does feature is gold ink on the hard-signed signature. It goes well with the foil on the card, and looks much better than what the scan would convey. The other cool thing with this card, and all others in this insert set, is that it focuses on a particular key game in a player's career. In Parise's case, that game is game 6 of the first round of the 2014 playoffs, where he scored two goals and two assists to force a Game 7 against the Colorado Avalanche. The Wild would win the series in Game 7, but lose in the nest round to the Chicago Blackhawks 4-2
